The Pre-Nursery program at C.A.D.S. for infants, and toddlers focuses on development. We strive for consistency, individualized schedules and age appropriate yet challenging activities.
Guided by carefully chosen professionals who are trained in infant/toddler development, all activities are planned with careful attention to safety, exploration, and growth. Music and movement specialists work with all these groups three times each week.
All equipment from push-pull toys to climbers and safety-surfaced play deck, are age appropriate and allow your child the freedom of discovery and movement. Neighborhood outings in our Bye-Bye Buggies, to the zoo, park and pet store, are an integral part of the curriculum.
Everyone at C.A.D.S. welcomes parent involvement. Daily charts noting eating, sleeping and other functions are made available and parents are encouraged to provide us with similar information.
Infants Program
Serving children ages 6 months to 1 year, the Infant Room at the Children’s All Day School occupies a beautiful space overlooking the school’s amazing backyard. Cribs with wheels are always ready for rest time, but curious children will find plenty of reasons to stay awake. Books, art supplies, an indoor jungle gym and more stimulate creative play, while exercising gross and fine motor skills. Nobody crawls for long in this environment. The Infant Room helps get children on their feet as the curriculum focuses on teaching sociable and independent behavior. Meanwhile, caring teachers emphasize routine elements, helping the infants find comfort throughout their day.
Tots & Toddlers Program
Serving children ages 1 to 2 years, the classroom is filled with puzzles, pegs, shape sorters, lacing toys, bristle blocks, wooden blocks, toy gears, toy animals, books, dress up clothes, baby dolls, toy kitchen utensils and more. These resources lay the foundations for imaginative play, a process of working and learning that symbolizes the fulfillment of the Toddler and Tots classroom’s philosophy.
